1. Never spit on the street or sidewalk or inside a building.

방귀를 뀌지 말라. 실수로 뀐 경우는 조용히 사과하라.
8. Never cut in front of someone or push in a line. If you accidentally bump into someone, say "Excuse me."
줄을 설 때 새치기와 남을 떠미는 행위를 하지 말라. 실수로 남과 부딪친 경우는 '죄송합니다'라고 사과하라.
9. Never chew gum in an office, school or other public place. Most educated Americans find gum chewing in public crude.
사무실, 학교 혹은 다른 공공장소에서 껌을 씹지 말라. 교육을 받고 예의바른 미국인들은 남 앞에서 껌을 씹는 것을 교양 없는 행위로 생각한다.
10. Never throw trash in the streets or sidewalks. Always throw it in a waste-paper basket or trash can.
